What am I expecting from dawn of war III? Then they killed the modding community so they could rake in an extra $1.99 for little add ons and so fourth. Dawn of War II was cleverly every feature that I wanted in dawn of war vanilla with cuts. It's no surprise that companies and there retarded graduate hired noobs in business marketing will go out of their way to produce strategies for profit in way that pisses every loyal gamer to the point of urinating on a keyboard and then setting it on fire. I do commend them on the balance they provided for both games. I just couldn't play either games due to the failure to engross the person into there storyline. I am pretty disappointed with the success that is SCII & WOW. GS didn't like the direction they were going with so they pulled the rights to there lore & theme. The Heratic company Blizzard was first supposed to design World of Warcraft and Starcraft into what is Dawn of War and Warhammer Online. They seem to know how to make games that I like.An open mind is like a fortress with it's gates unbarred & unguarded - Isador Akiosĭawn of War III is on the horizon and if your like me a person that has appreciated everything games workshop, you can expect a title from THQ that will give the gritty gothic feel that is 40K.Īs we all know.

For now I have to put faith in RELIC that they will make a good game and that is not hard for me to do. I look forward to seeing some gameplay before I rush to any judgement. But on first thoughts I am highly skeptical of this change to cover. Maybe the system works fine and on release I will grow to love it. This might just be an effect of an alpha screenshot though and it might be improved. The idea of having a few circles on the map representing "cover points" where the unit just has to stand in the middle (not huddling beside the structure) seems a little ridiculous to me. I loved the dynamic system of cover that is found in DOW2, where shelter can be sought in craters, or destroyed from a knocked back unit. I am gravely disappointed with the change of cover. A lot of players seem to be nostalgic towards base building and maybe this decision will seem more familiar to standard RTS titles, thereby enticing a larger playerbase to try the game. However, if it only requires one of each building and not creating multiple copies in an effort to spam units (see point one with Starcraft being an example) I can be on board with it. I am not particularly fond of the return of base building.

What matters to me is that "line units" are not disposable units, and that squad preservation remains a key component to successful gameplay.
